E-commerce law update

Our Corporate Counsel Forum (CCF) is designed for experienced corporate legal professionals to meet and discuss topical issues. Each session, led by an expert speaker, provides an opportunity to discuss and share practical experience on a technical legal topic relevant to technology sectors. It is also a good opportunity for attendees to meet corporate counsel from other companies.

About this event - E-commerce law update

Online retail sales in the UK grew from £1bn in 2000 to £44bn in 2009, 15% of the total.  By 2020, the internet is predicted to account for half of all UK retail sales and to influence most of the other half. Calum Murray, Paul O’Hare and Andrew Joint, partners in our Commercial Technology Group who specialise in online commercial operations, will focus in this session on recent developments in e-commerce law and regulation and the developing contract structures that underpin online business models.  The various themes that are emerging will then be drawn together in an interactive case study.
