STRATEGIES TO MANAGE EMPLOYMENT LITIGATION

WEDNESDAY 11 MARCH 2009

The session focused on the management of employment litigation from inception of the potential claim up to and including the hearing, dealing with strategies for avoiding litigation as well as the potential to reduce costs during the process itself.

Partner, Chris Middleton, and Assistant Emily Platt looked at the various stages of litigation (such as the pleadings, discovery issues and witness statements), their relative importance and potential options available - as well as dealing with opportunities for mediation and settlement. Interactive case study discussions will provide an opportunity to share experiences and test your strategic skills against your contemporaries
