Commercial technology lawyers join kemp little LLP

Kemp Little LLP, the leading UK technology law firm, today announced the appointment of three further lawyers to its growing commercial technology practice.

Mark Henley joined as an associate on 5 February 2007 from Bird & Bird, where he was an assistant for 8 years. Mark graduated in Law from Oxford University in 1995 and was called to the bar in 1996 before qualifying as a solicitor.

Chris Hawkins joined Kemp Little LLP on 23 January 2007 from the Commercial & Technology team at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert. Chris graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Nottingham in 2000 and gained a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course in 2003. Chris trained at Bird & Bird, where he qualified in 2005.

Hannah Sutcliffe, who qualified in February 2007 from Lovells, joined Kemp Little LLP on 5 March 2007. Hannah graduated in Law from Cambridge University in 2003 and gained a Distinction in Law from Nottingham Law School in 2004.

Following these appointments the commercial technology department now numbers 11 lawyers, one of the largest dedicated IT teams in the City.

Calum Murray, commercial technology group head at Kemp Little, said: "At the end of FY2007, the work of our commercial technology group is up over 20% on the previous year. We are delighted about Mark, Chris and Hannah's arrival as they will further complement and broaden the commercial group's experience and skills in our IT procurement, software and services, outsourcing, digital commerce and telecoms work."

The firm is continuing to recruit into its commercial technology practice.
