Kemp Little LLP partner Lucy Vernall and assistant Julia Tarvin advised Nordic Venture Partners and LongAcre Partners on their recent co-investment, with first round funders Arts Alliance, of £5 million in mobile media company Player X Limited. The transaction completed on 8 December 2006. The investment was Nordic Venture Partners' first investment in the UK.
Player X specialises in games, video and TV. It develops, publishes and distributes mobile entertainment content through global operators, portals and handset manufacturers. In December 2006, Player X successfully launched its mobile TV channel geekTV with UK operator 3 UK and plans to use the investment to accelerate its global content strategy across mobile TV, video and games.
