Everything you want to know about GDPR
The EU’s much-heralded General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in May 2018. Every business leader knows that the GDPR requires higher standards for data collection, storage and management, along with greater accountability and transparency. Breaches will be punished severely. By now, your business should have come to terms with the GDPR requirements and put its house in order.
However, data protection is a moving target. As digital services expand further into our daily lives, the flow of personal data from consumers to businesses will only increase. If you introduce new technology-based services that process personal data you’ll need to work through the privacy implications and complete a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA). Not only are DPIAs best practice but they are compulsory in certain circumstances under the GDPR. Our understanding of technology combined with our practical experience means we can guide you through the ins and outs of the law, and help you understand what you need to do to ensure compliance when you introduce digital services for your customers.
